tuesday we went to houston for pong's uncle burial. when we got there, we decided to stop by for something to eat since we got so hungry after the 3 hour drive. as we were driving, we saw the wolfgang express and all agreed to try it. while ordering food i noticed wolfgang puck in the corner of the bar and later on learned that the restaurant just opened monday and he's there for his cookbook signing (how lucky are we! snicker*). this is arend's first celebrity sighting. we had wolfgang sign the cookbook on his name. (so cool!) we did'nt have any camera so the pics were taken from my palm pilot. mama was excited too since she did'nt even know him and one time pong and i saw him on tv during the iron chef's preview and we at the same time said out loud..."oh! wolfgang puck!" and she was like...who's he? and i said, he's a famous french chef... (now i just realized his from austria.) pong and i thought of naming arend wolfgang since i was in germany that month that i got pregnant, but after counting days and making exactly sure where and when, we decided on naming him arend since i concieve him when we were in amsterdam.

it's monday and i don't have to go to work. yay!
why do i hate workin' on mondays? start of the week, the rush hour traffic, manic monday...
anyway, gotta get up and run errands. might be another busy week ahead of me.

this weekend, pong's uncle died from houston. he's been sick of lung cancer and it metastazised to his brain. he was given months to live and when we saw him last month, he was already confused and really sick. it was expected. i don't know if i wanna sudden death or at least given a time-frame. for sure, i don't wanna die in pain or suffering. i wanna die in my sleep. that would be a sudden death right? i don't wanna drown, not on a fire. in short, don't wanna die. but we all go there. (sigh)

i went to apply for a new job today. i'm still unsure if i am going to stay and work part-time where i'm at right now or just go ahead and quit. i've been there for 6 years now. i'm use to my peers. i know the job so well. but the pay's so tempting, it's at least $16 more of what i'm getting paid right now and with nice incentives. i got an offer for a full-time, i'm actually hired and will start this coming month, all i have to decide if i commit myself working for them for at least 2 years. i'm one of the people that hate changes and adjustments plus i love my supervisors as they love me (i hope). huh!

arend's growin' up so fast. i feel so guilty not having to take him for his first easter pictorial. i just took some pictures with the colored eggs and a blue bear from his easter basket he got from the easter-egg-hunting-party/baptismal party. i wonder if it's still too late?

wanna go shoppin' for some new furnitures and i know that i have to wait. no budget for that yet. i'm planning for arend's baptismal and i already asked around how much it would cost to held reception in a hotel. i want it catered by some asian restaurant thou. no american foods please.
then the give aways...i found this website where i can get my giveaways and invitation done. much better from where i got my giveaways for the baby announcement.
it's almost 4am, gotta go get some sleep.

i'm getting the feel of having a new house. unlike the last few days, just felt so exhausted.
i enjoy my drive to work since my drive time's cut in half. we're closer to the places where we usually hang-out, the movies, mall, eateries.
got my garage door set-up, our fridge's so cool, i chose the side by wide or wide by side maytag since i got a 1500 incentive for closing before the end of march. the blinds i chose were two inches wood faux. my backyard sod were all done the day before. my sofa's delivered also. i still need more stuff done. i need a formal dining furniture, ceiling fans, a couch for the game room, another bed for arend's room (that one has to wait), a curio for my knick-knacks, a mower, i need a bedroom set for my master. wow, i'm gonna be needing lots of dinero for all this. it might take a while to fill this house. got my priorities for now. hay!

almost done moving. it's been a busy week. we started moving all our stuff since the 4th. there's still a lot of things we need to do. empty boxes, mainly. can't find my uniform,socks, tennis shoes when i need it. darn. and where's my damn tweezers. i can't live without it... and where's my josh groban cd. oh god it's exhausting, more than what i expected. (whew!)
