newbie
i'm officially a new employee.
my first day, monday. orientation at the hampton roads branch...
it's such an amazingly huge place but this is not where i'm gonna be working.
i'm excited!

new job
my morning started early today. after a long while (5 weeks to be exact) of getting away from not calling the HR from this new rehab place. i did finally returned back their phone calls and headed up for initial interview. the director was very pleased of my resume and did'nt even asked me a lot of non-sense questions and was just very specific that they wanted me as full-timer. i can only do few hours a week to begin with. that is for me to see how the place is. she offered the position right away and we went straight to HR. she left me there and was sure i was going to accept the offer. the offer was awful. i almost choked up to death. literally! i was so embarrased since i was obviously disgusted with the offer. my materalistic self couldn't hide it. all i had to say was. "i'm going home and i'll think about it."
so i did and called HR right away. i was contemplating on how to negotiate my salary as i was driving home. but as she answered the phone. she was like... "linda" (the director) got after her for not even asking how much i make as fulltime. and i just blurted that i demand (never thought i could do that. *i'm so surprised with my self. i need a pat on the back...lol) not less than what i make as fulltime. so she made phone calls.
i did accept the position but i'm still not happy with the pay. it's 10 bucks less than what i make in texas. i guess the pay here is not as competitive compare to other states but at least it's more than my pay as fulltime. (too bad...you can't win all the time)
pong will be leaving on easter. i'll be busy somehow, something to look forward to...
this is the place i'll be working at
