ma discharged from hospital and my dear husband picked her up. tomorrow she has to be taken for biopsy. the doctor suspected her cancer metastasized to her pancreas already. her dr discussed this to her before her discharged that this recurring cancer is bad and he told her, her life span will be 10 months. he suggested to see all the people she wants to see, go to places she wants to go, and eat all she wants to. that just made me cry like a river. my eyes all swelled up and my sinus allergies worst. her dr wanted to talk to me but i am not ready and besides i heard it from her already. that is just so sad, and mean to hear that you only have that much to live. but she asked for it, told him to be honest to her.
ma's still on denial and so as i, in a way.

my life seems to be on pause. i am extremely lazy updating. i've been hooked with my evil sofa and pinoy channels. i need to get out of the house and do something but seems like everytime i go out, i spend so much just with buying something and eating out. my credit card is maxed-out from the holiday shopping.
i need to work extra since we are planning on doing a lot of traveling this year. then also i need some activities. i have joined curves with the hope to lose few pounds. i am attending a wedding in april and december.
arend is turning 2 this weekend. he's been so active and amaze with things. his little mind is like sponge just absorbing everything. he's smart little boy. thank goodness to my mom who's very patient doing his lessons everyday, letting him explore and discover new things. he does'nt need to be going to pre-school or daycare yet.
my new year's been ok. can't ask for anything else. all i pray for is good health for all my love ones. i worry about my brother in philippines but it seems like he's doing alright besides from being depress.
ciao!

lego lessons for life

1. Size doesn't matter. When stepped on in the dark, a 2X2 LEGO brick causes the same amount of pain as a 2X8 brick.

2. All LEGO men are created equal (1.5625 inches tall). What they become is limited only by imagination.

3. There is strength in numbers. When the bricks stick together, great things can be accomplished.

4. Playtime is important. Sometimes it doesn't matter what you are building, as long as you're having fun.

5. Disaster happens, but the pieces can be put back together again.

6. Every brick has a purpose. Some are made for a specific spot - most can adapt almost anywhere - but every single one will fit somewhere.

7. Color doesn't matter. A blue brick will fit in the same space as a red brick.

8. No one is indispensable. If one brick is unavailable, another can take its place.

9. It doesn't always turn out as planned. Sometimes it turns out better. If it doesn't........ you can always try again!
